Bungalow đĄ A Squarespace Membership Website
I met Ashleigh shortly after I got engaged at the Most Curious Wedding Show at the Old Truman Brewery. Sheâs a wedding planner with a clear aesthetic, âCalifornian Coolâ and her business name Pink Palms sums it up. I immediately went up to her stand (hello, great branding!) and started chatting to her about being newly engaged and about what Pink Palms could offer me as a new bride. She wanted to start offering DIY courses for brides, which is right up my street, so I took her details and gave her a swift follow on Instagram.
A few months later, as we headed into UK lockdown, Ashleigh posted on her Instagram story âanyone know of a Squarespace Designer? of course I jumped into her DMâs with âMe, me, me! Would love to work with you on Squarespace!â and so, it began!
The Problem:
Ashleigh wanted a new website for Bungalow by Pink Palms, her new membership programme that is designed to offer the courses sheâd caught my interest with at Most Curious, but online. With the pandemic beginning, Ashleigh pivoted her plans to take the one to ones she couldnât offer right now online and at a bigger scale. She wanted to use the branding sheâd already commissioned by another designer, on a site that had member-only areas and content. She also wanted a place to sell gift cards, and future products and lastly a directory that could be organised by aesthetic rather than by skillset (like Photographer), so that she could make suggestions to her audience for free. Hello, adding value!
The Solution:
What better way to explain what we came up with than to show you? So here it is, the new site in all its glory.
The Results
Ashleigh is a social media geniusâŚshe shows up almost every day with exciting and engaging content, which meant that when Bungalow opened its doors for the first time she was flooded with members. I like to think the website really convinced them to commit to purchase ;) Her social media groupâs engagement is off the charts and Ashleigh is getting more and more applications for The List, her supplier directory that we categorised by Aesthetic rather than skillset - so damn cool!
In addition to all of this, Sheerluxe recently reached out to Ashleigh to feature Bungalow in their weddingâs section! So awesome and so well deserved.
Ashleigh and I have worked together again recently, this time on a Design Course for wedding suppliers that we are running through the Bungalow site too and I hope to keep working with her going forwardâŚand being able to co-work when we can, cos itâs always fun to toast your successes over a gin & tonic. Hereâs what she had to say about the whole experience -
âLucianne is a total superstar and I couldn't have built my new online business without her! She is beyond helpful, such timely responses and always has solutions to issues that crop up. Her work is top quality and she is a joy to work with, and has been such a pleasure to bring onto my project which had so many moving parts & extras, and she managed it all with such ease. I've recommended her to so many family & friends and they have all said the same as me - Lucianne is super talented, very helpful, timely, responsive and works to an incredibly high standard. If you need help with your branding or website she's a must!â
I feel very fortunate to have been able to work with someone who is so supportive of others both as suppliers to her and within her community. Please check out Ashleigh and Bungalow if you are getting married and need some inspo!
